EASE Holdings says it has raised US$9.5 million in additional equity to expand its medical-equipment business in South Africa and Ghana, with a target of at least US$20 million in new South African installations during 2027.
The Netherlands-headquartered company announced the investment from AAFC Group on Monday, 2 November. It said the transaction takes its total equity to US$24 million. That figure describes equity funding, not the value of equipment already installed.
Equipment expansion remains a target
EASE provides equipment through pay-per-use and managed-service arrangements. Its expansion categories include MRI, CT and PET-CT scanners, surgical robots and radiotherapy systems.
The company says its existing debt facilities will work alongside the new equity to support growth. Its US$20 million South African installation target is a forecast for next year, rather than confirmation that those machines have been delivered.
Monday’s announcement did not identify the hospitals that would receive the planned installations or give a delivery timetable for individual machines. It also did not set out patient charges.
An existing South African model
The funding builds on an established local operation. In January 2025, EASE announced a PET-CT installation at the Precision Nuclear Oncology and Theranostics facility in Rustenburg, developed with Nuclear Med Group.
In a separate April 2025 announcement, the company identified Standard Bank as an international lender supporting its South African equipment model.
Under that approach, hospitals and clinics pay per scan or event instead of buying the equipment outright. EASE describes maintenance, training and support as part of its offering. The financing arrangement concerns how providers obtain equipment; it does not, by itself, establish what patients will pay for care.
