Thursday, 5 November, is the date set aside in SASSA’s revised timetable for beneficiaries in the grant-review process. It also falls within the matric examination pause announced by the Western Cape education department.

SASSA review-process payment date

The agency’s revised November schedule, reported by SAnews, allocates 5 November specifically to beneficiaries whose grants fall within the review process.

That is a scheduled date, not confirmation that every individual has received money or completed a review. SASSA says affected beneficiaries should respond to official communications and attend review appointments when requested.

Use the November payment-date guide for the revised timetable. The agency has cautioned against unnecessary office visits and urged people to use its official information channels.

Matric examination pause continues

The Western Cape education department’s published examination notice says no exams will be written from 3 to 5 November because of the local government elections.

Today’s pause does not mean the examination period has ended. The notice gives 25 November as the conclusion of the 2026 matric exams and encourages candidates to use their study time carefully.

Thursday’s three-city forecast

CustomWeather forecasts on timeanddate.com, updated at 05:24 SAST on 5 November, indicate approximately:

  • Johannesburg: a high of 29°C and low of 17°C, with afternoon cloud and late showers. City forecast.
  • Cape Town: 19°C and 16°C, overcast with light rain later. City forecast.
  • Pretoria: 34°C and 19°C, with increasing cloud and showers later. City forecast.

These are forecasts, not observations or official severe-weather warnings. Conditions can change; the figures describe the provider’s stated morning update.
