Frequently asked

SASSA questions

Is EBNewsDaily part of SASSA?

No. EBNewsDaily is an independent news publication. Applications, status checks and personal information must be handled through official government channels.

Where should I check an SRD R370 status?

Use the official SRD service at srd.sassa.gov.za. EBNewsDaily does not provide or embed a personal status form.

Does SRD R370 have one payment date for everyone?

No. Approved applicants receive individual paydays. Check the official SRD service for the date linked to your application.

Do I need to withdraw a grant on the payment date?

Money paid into an account remains available after the payment date. Beneficiaries can avoid the busiest queues by withdrawing later.

Are SASSA applications free?

Yes. Do not pay a person or website to submit a SASSA application.
