Common SRD results

Pending

SASSA is still assessing the application or the payment period. Keep checking the official service and do not submit repeated applications.

Approved

The application was approved for the period shown. A payday may appear separately after payment processing is completed.

Declined

The application did not meet a stated rule for that period. Read the reason before using the official reconsideration or appeal process.

Referred

The application requires additional verification. Follow only instructions received through official SASSA channels.

Identity verification failed

Personal details could not be matched with official records. Check that the details supplied match Home Affairs records and follow SASSA’s official correction process.

Bank details pending

Valid payment details are still required or being verified. Submit them only on the official SRD website.

Payment date pending

The period is approved but a personal payday has not yet been allocated. Check again on the official service.

Reconsideration pending

A reconsideration request has been received but no final decision has been issued yet.

Reconsideration

If an SRD period is declined

  1. Open the official SRD service.
  2. Read the decline reason for the relevant month.
  3. Submit reconsideration through the official route within the stated period.
  4. Keep the confirmation and check the outcome later.
Permanent grants

Appeal a grant decision

SASSA must provide reasons in writing. Follow the appeal instructions and deadline in that notice. Government guidance states that permanent grant appeals are made to the Minister of Social Development.

SASSA questions

Is EBNewsDaily part of SASSA?

No. EBNewsDaily is an independent news publication. Applications, status checks and personal information must be handled through official government channels.

Where should I check an SRD R370 status?

Use the official SRD service at srd.sassa.gov.za. EBNewsDaily does not provide or embed a personal status form.

No. Approved applicants receive individual paydays. Check the official SRD service for the date linked to your application.

Do I need to withdraw a grant on the payment date?

Money paid into an account remains available after the payment date. Beneficiaries can avoid the busiest queues by withdrawing later.

Are SASSA applications free?

Yes. Do not pay a person or website to submit a SASSA application.
