iOCO has disclosed a further R70.7 million in share buybacks, covering purchases made between 14 and 29 October.

In a stock-exchange announcement released on Friday, 30 October, the South African technology-services group said it had bought 17,691,842 shares. The disclosed purchase value excludes transaction costs.

The latest purchases take the total repurchased since 1 August 2025 to 34,457,696 shares, worth R140.7 million and representing about 5.4% of the company’s issued share capital. The shares are being held as treasury shares.

The transactions were funded from available cash and carried out through the JSE’s order book. iOCO reported a R71.3 million reduction in cash balances from the purchases, a separate figure from the price paid excluding transaction costs.

Shareholders approved a general authority to buy back up to 20% of issued ordinary shares at the December 2025 annual general meeting. The company said about 93.2 million shares remained available for repurchase under that authority. This is permission for further purchases, not confirmation they will occur.

The board said it had assessed the purchases’ effect on the group’s finances and believed it would retain sufficient working capital and be able to meet its debts over the next year.
