Tshwane residents using online municipal services should plan around an upgrade window scheduled to run until 23:00 on Sunday, 8 November 2026.

The City’s 6 November notice sets the work from 22:00 on Friday. It lists e-Tshwane, the website’s I WANT TO REPORT function and the WhatsApp service on 087 153 1001 among the affected channels.

That WhatsApp service is used for viewing accounts, submitting meter readings and other transactions. The notice describes a maintenance timetable; this report has not independently tested each service’s current availability.

The City says customer-service email addresses remain available during the work. Its call centre can be reached on 012 358 9999.

For power-failure reporting, the notice directs customers to SMS POWER followed by their account number to 082 612 0333 or 44676. Prepaid electricity purchases remain available through third-party outlets, according to the City.

The upgrades aim to improve system stability and reduce hardware-failure risks. Sunday night’s scheduled end is not confirmation that work has already finished or a guarantee of restoration at a particular minute. Check official City updates before relying on a digital channel.
