SASSA’s November disability-grant payment date falls on Monday, 2 November, followed by children’s grants on Tuesday, 3 November, under the timetable revised ahead of the local government elections.
The schedule was announced in October. It places both payment dates before voting day on Wednesday, 4 November.
Which date applies to each grant?
- Older persons grants: Friday, 30 October — the scheduled date for the November cycle, even though it fell in October.
- Disability grants: Monday, 2 November.
- Children’s grants: Tuesday, 3 November.
- Grants in the review process: Thursday, 5 November.
National Treasury approved the revised arrangements, according to the government news agency SAnews’s 15 October report on SASSA’s statement.
What if a grant is under review?
SASSA asked beneficiaries in the review process to respond to official communications and attend appointments when requested. The separate 5 November date is set aside for that group.
The agency also asked beneficiaries to avoid unnecessary office visits and use official communication channels for payment information.
These are scheduled payment dates. They do not establish that a particular beneficiary’s money has reached their account.
The timetable also featured in EBNewsDaily’s 31 October morning briefing.
