Services SETA has extended the submission deadline for three 2026/27 funding windows to 15 November 2026 after reporting an application-system disruption.

In its 3 November notice, the authority said applications could not be submitted through the system. The extension covers Discretionary Grants, Strategic Projects and Strategic Partnerships.

This report has not independently tested the submission system’s current availability. The notice gives no restoration time or closing hour. Applicants should follow current official instructions for their relevant window.

Who can apply

For the regular Discretionary Grant window, eligible applicants include employers, sectoral associations, professional bodies, trade unions and federations, and accredited skills-development providers within Services SETA’s scope. This is organisational funding, rather than an individual learner recruitment advert.

Applicants may request support for a maximum of two learning programmes. The window includes learnerships, apprenticeships, skills programmes and other workplace-learning interventions, with eligibility varying by programme.

Check the supporting documents

Supporting documents and signed declarations must be complete and valid at submission. Incomplete applications will be disqualified, and submitting an application does not guarantee funding.

Applicants should review the official advert, programme priorities, evaluation criteria and required documents, and follow current official submission instructions. The extension was announced on 3 November, rather than today.
